Group Training Incentives

Under the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Programme, Group Training Organisations may access the same financial incentives available to other employers when they employ an Australian Apprentice.  These include standard incentives of up to $4,000 for a Certificate III/IV Australian Apprentice plus additional incentives for Australian Apprentices who meet specific criteria.

More information on incentives is available from the Australian Apprenticeships website at http://www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au/ You are now leaving the DEST website.

Group Training Organisations who comply with the National Standards for Group Training Organisations and other eligibility criteria are eligible to receive the Special Group Training Organisation Certificate II Australian Apprenticeships Completion Incentive (payable at a rate of $1,000 per completion).  This incentive is payable to both ' for profit' and 'not for profit' Group Training Organisations.  The incentive supports the training of Australian Apprentices from disadvantaged backgrounds and those who are not well supported in the labour market.

If your organisation has not been accredited under the National Standards for Group Training Organisations, you should contact your State or Territory Training Authority for further information on the assessment process in place for accreditation.  Payment of incentives will be subject to employers and their Australian Apprentices satisfying eligibility criteria as set out in the Australian Government Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Programme Guidelines.

All incentives are paid through Australian Apprenticeships Centres.  If you have not previously made any incentives claims for an Australian Apprentice, you may need to advise your chosen Australian Apprenticeships Centre that you have been accredited under the National Standards for Group Training Organisations in the State or Territory of your registration.
